Win a piece of the city: ‘12 Days of Bristmas’ competition launches today with exclusive, money-can’t-buy Bristol experiences
First four exclusive prizes revealed - including a bespoke UPFEST mural for your home and backstage access at Bristol Beacon
A first-of-its-kind new festive competition launches in Bristol today, offering residents and visitors the chance to win exclusive, money-can’t-buy experiences that celebrate the city’s creativity, culture and independent spirit.
12 Days of Bristmas is the first major Christmas campaign from the newly unified Bristol BID, giving some lucky winners unforgettable access to some of Bristol’s most iconic venues, artists and hidden gems – all through a simple prize draw.
To enter, all Bristolians need to do is purchase a Love Bristol Gift Card between today, Tuesday 18 November and Christmas Eve. Every card becomes a chance to win, once an accompanying entry form is completed upon purchase.
With 12 unique prizes to be unveiled in stages – and the first four revealed today – the competition is designed to keep the festive buzz building right up to Christmas. The first four days of Bristmas will see:
One lucky winner receive a bespoke mural for their home, created by a lead artist from UPFEST, the world-famous street art festival born in Bristol. This is a rare opportunity to bring the city’s creative identity to life in your own space.
Another offers backstage access to a live show at Bristol Beacon, where the winner will experience the energy, atmosphere and preparation that goes into a performance at one of the city’s most iconic venues.
A third takes the winner into the heart of Bristol’s comedy scene, with a writing session with a comedian performing at The Gaffe, the city’s newest comedy venue, and the chance to perform their set live at a Comedy Club night.
The final prize in this first reveal is a private tour on an iconic Bristol Ferry, giving one winner and a group of up to 19 friends the chance to see the city from a new perspective, led by those who know its waters best.
More prizes will be unveiled weekly, from food-led adventures to creative masterclasses, each designed to offer rare access to the places, people and experiences that define Bristol’s independent spirit.
The Love Bristol Gift Card is accepted at over 190 businesses across the city centre, from restaurants and bars to salons, boutiques and cultural venues. Cards can be purchased online at lovebristolgiftcard.co.uk, with each one supporting the city’s local economy at the most vital trading time of year.
Anna Farthing, Interim Head of Place at Bristol BID, said:
“12 Days of Bristmas is about connecting with the beating heart of Bristol. These are experiences you can’t buy off the shelf. They’re about the people, places and passions that make this city what it is and we’re thrilled to be able to invite people into that world.”This is the first major Christmas campaign from the newly unified Bristol BID, which brings together more than 1,000 businesses across Broadmead, Redcliffe & Temple and the wider city centre. Working collectively, the BID is delivering a more ambitious and connected seasonal experience for residents, workers and visitors alike.
Alongside the prize draw, Bristol BID is lighting up the city with its Winter Lights, which will illuminate the city centre through to February, and an expanded Christmas lights programme stretching across Park Street, College Green, Broadmead, the Harbourside and more.
A series of festive events will also bring people together, including an opportunity for businesses to get involved with carol singing at St George’s and the Christmas Star Concert at St Mary Redcliffe Church in aid of local NHS charities. Cabot Circus will also be hosting a full programme of family-friendly activities, including Santa O’Clock and the return of the 15-foot Elf on the Shelf, Isambard Kingdom Brunelf.
