Celebrating 500 Patrols for Bristol Street Pastors
Bristol Street Pastors hit a significant milestone, completing their 500th patrol.
On the 10th of January 2026, the volunteers of Bristol Street Pastors are set to complete their 500th patrol. This landmark achievement highlights more than a decade of selfless service across the city. The Bristol Street Pastors are a dedicated team of volunteers committed to enhancing Bristol’s night time economy. Their mission is to provide assistance and support wherever needed, fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for all.
Proudly supported by Bristol BID since 2017, the volunteers’ presence has been an important source of practical, emotional, and moral support. Since the BID has supported the Street Pastors, they have distributed over 1,400 water bottles, 870 pairs of flip flops and nearly 2000 lollipops, providing comfort to those who are vulnerable or in distress. Their work also extends to keeping the city clean and safe, with the Pastors actively removing over 31,500 bottles and cans from the streets.
Beyond these material contributions, the incredible team has offered around 18,000 hours of their time, providing non-judgmental care and support to over 1,900 people of Bristol. Their presence is a vital safety net for those enjoying the city’s nightlife.
To mark this significant anniversary, Bristolians are invited to join the Street Pastor’s ‘Bring and Share’ dinner on Saturday, January 10th at 5:00 PM at Victoria Methodist Church, 1a Whiteladies Road, BS8 1NU.
Come and join the celebration to thank the volunteers for their hard work in making Bristol safer, or to find out more about the program and how you can become a volunteer yourself!
