The Bristol BID is appealing to its business community, green-fingered or otherwise, to come and join our new, relaxed and friendly Gardening Club! The Gardening Club is a refreshing way to get outside and cultivate the Bristol that you want to live and work in.
Whether you are looking to take a mindful moment to yield the therapeutic benefits of gardening, have the chance to socialise with other local businesses, or perfect your pruning skills under the guidance of our seasoned gardeners, we would love to have you join us.
These sessions run monthly, with our next one taking place on the 10 June. We will be continuing our work on Quaker Burial Ground, where the team will be on site between 11am-1pm. Our website permits signups between 11am-12pm and 12pm-1pm, but you are welcome to drop in and stay for as long or as little as you like.
Our aim for the project is to transform the Burial Ground into an inviting green space for people of all ages to come and reflect, play and gather; to become a space that hosts community activities and facilitates connection. More information on the project can be found here: https://bristol.cityofsanctuary.org/the-memorial-garden
Gardening Club is part of a community project to make improvements to Quaker Burial Ground to develop it as a Sanctuary Garden for anyone seeking a safe and calm space within the city centre. This project is delivered in partnership with City of Sanctuary, Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, Bristol Society of Friends, Bristol City Council and UWE.
