Big Broadmead Spring Clean

From Monday 23 to Sunday 29 March, we are inviting volunteers to help tidy streets, improve green spaces and brighten public areas in one of Bristol’s busiest shopping areas.

The Big Broadmead Spring Clean is delivered in partnership with Bristol Waste, working together to help keep our city clean.

You will be welcomed by the Bristol BID team at the Spring Clean Volunteer Hub at Shredenhams (formerly Debenhams) on the Horsefair. Bristol BID staff will have a list of simple tasks, and you will be given all the kit you need. Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

Music and entertainment will keep spirits high and add to the enjoyment of knowing we are making a positive difference.

To add a bit of fun along the way, we’ll also be running a few team challenges during the week, with a few prizes up for grabs. Categories may include: best dressed team, most litter collected, best team name and other creative efforts, so feel free to bring your team spirit!

Choose a time that works for you

We have created a range of time slots throughout the day, from convenient one-hour lunchtime sessions to longer sessions ideal for corporate volunteering days.

Stay as long as you like, just select your preferred arrival time when you sign up so we can plan the day and welcome you.

We’re also looking for local businesses who may like to support the event by donating small prizes – for example free coffees, discounts, vouchers or similar treats for our volunteers. If you’re a business interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
