ABOUT THE FAN ZONE

Bristol became a beating hub of activity as the city welcomes the official Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Fan Zone to Bristol Amphitheatre delivered in partnership with Visit West, Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID), Bristol City Council, the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and Redcliffe & Temple BID.

This free city-centre celebration screened six knockout games, coinciding with two quarter-finals and both semi-final matches at Ashton Gate Stadium. Bristol’s official Fan Zone was a unique mix of live sport, entertainment, local food, and community celebration, as the city came together to celebrate women’s sport.

At the heart of Bristol’s festival-style Fan Zone was a large LED screen, alongside a vibrant mix of community-focused fun, including live music, cultural performances, creative workshops, plus interactive rugby-themed activities and family-friendly fun.

Organised as part of a series of official Fan Zones across host cities in the UK, Bristol’s site curated a warm and inclusive welcome for all, encouraging play, participation, and pride.

WHAT’S ON

Supporters Zone

The Supporters Zone is where fans congregated to watch the matches, live on the big screen. With former England international Amber Reed and Welsh rising star Jenna De Vera bringing the energy across the weekends as MCs, supporters enjoyed dance, circus and live music - including performances from BBC Introducing favourites HUNNYBUZZ and Jo Hill.

Try Zone

The Try Zone allowed visitors to have a go at rugby activities with Bristol Bears Community Foundation and other local clubs, testing their skills and discovering just how inclusive rugby can be.

Conversion Corner

A space for supporters to connect with local sports clubs, from rugby to ice hockey, boxing to cricket, and take part in a range of fun activities including crafts, demonstrations and opportunities to have a go yourself.

Bristol Zone

The Bristol Zone brought sport, culture, and craft to the Fan Zone. Visitors could try Airhop Bristol’s Cardio Wall or test their cricket skills with Sixes Social Cricket. Mendip Activity Centre’s climbing wall and mini golf with Par 59 provided more adventure. There was also fun from We The Curious, Air Giants, and a dedicated crafting station.

Merchandise Zone

Where fans got kitted out in all their Official Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 merchandise, as well as Brazen Bras, created specifically for rugby players, offering support on and off the pitch.

Fuel up Zone

A great mix of food and drink from some of Bristol’s best-loved traders. From delicious street food to refreshing drinks, there’s plenty to keep you energised while you enjoy all the action of the fan zone.

Social Run with Bristol Run Club

A friendly, inclusive run on 13 and 20 September, starting and finishing at the Fan Zone. Meeting at 11am, these relaxed group runs with Bristol Run Club were all about bringing people together, with 2.5km or 5km routes available.

Women’s Rugby World Cup Mural

A bold new mural by Bristol artist Melo at Canons Wharf Amphitheatre celebrated women, sport and the city’s spirit.
