As part of Playful Broadmead, Bristol BID have collaborated with the local business community to collate a programme of exciting offerings for the whole family to enjoy throughout the summer holidays.
From free kids’ meals at Harvey Nichols to £1 cinema tickets, family fun at Cabot Circus to free kids bus travel, love Broadmead, love local this summer.

Discover Cubbie at Cabot Circus
Join the free family trail on 26 August. between 11am–5pm, and discover Cubbie, a personalised smart sensory pod designed to create a more inclusive shopping experience. Every child who completes the trail will receive a free book and a choice of a sweet treat or sensory toy.

Families can step back in time at John Wesley’s New Room from 23 July to 2 September, with free child museum entry and a Parlour Game Trail to explore. Free family workshops will offer the chance to dress up, play with Georgian toys and games, and make a toy to take home.

Odeon Luxe
Catch a family film at Odeon Luxe Bristol this summer, with kids’ tickets available for just £1. Enjoy family films including Spider-Man, PAW Patrol, Toy Story 5, Minions and Moana. Sparks
Sparks’ summer programme is jam-packed with family-friendly activities, including weekly Crafty Friday sessions with LEGO, Story sessions every Wednesday, spin painting, fancy dress hat making, and puppets. While on 8 August the Little Free Library will be providing LGBTQIA+ books to children and young people.
Travel West
The hugely popular Kids Go Free scheme is back until Sunday 6 September, offering free bus travel for under-16s across the South West of England. Since launching in 2025, the scheme has saved families more than £1.4 million and supported over 150,000 children.

Youth Castle Park - Free Summer Events
Bristol City Council, in collaboration with local youth organisations, are running five weeks of youth activities throughout the summer holidays in Castle Park, every Wednesday, starting 29 July. Each week will have a different theme, including young people's voice and consultation, skills and jobs, and the future of Castle Park. Activities include inflatable football, basketball, music, arts and online games, with organisations including Communities of Purpose, Horn, CYN, Young Bristol, Police, Safer Connections and others taking part.
